Samara Martins: We think that parliamentarians shouldn't receive that amount, that they set themselves apart from the class.
If they are public servants, why don't they get paid like a public servant?
Samara Martins: For example, why isn't their career plan the same as the teachers'?
Samara Martins: They should be paid like teachers; that would reduce by half or more the number of people who would even run, because they run to make a career, to get rich.
