Samara Martins: So it's even a debate whether we really need to exploit rare earths, and it's a debate we've had with our environmental collectives because it has a gigantic impact, so much so that it's not called 'rare earths' because it's an extremely rare mineral on the planet.
It's called rare earths because it's hard to access, hard to extract.
Samara Martins: That's why it's called rare earths.
Samara Martins: And 'earths' aren't really lands, they're minerals.
