Because this limited democracy we have, which allows the Brazilian people to participate only by voting every two years — and that's the most the Brazilian people will have, to vote every two years — we defend, moreover, that the people should participate in decisions, including decisions... and there are constitutional prerogatives for the people to participate in those decisions.
Samara Martins: So, if it's possible for our people to take part in decisions, it's possible for them to recognize the transformative power we have.
Samara Martins: And the electoral process is that moment when they're open to listen, to choose who their candidates are, to say 'this one represents me, this one doesn't represent me' — a moment that, incidentally, the same financial oligarchies use to buy our people.
